Harlan's Holiday tops Blue Grass field

Florida Derby winner Harlan's Holiday leads a field six horses drawn Thursday for the 78th running of the Blue Grass Stakes to be run at Keeneland on Saturday. The Blue Grass, a $750,000 Grade 1 event for 3-year-olds at 1 1/8 miles, will be run as the ninth race on Keeneland's live race card.

Harlan's Holiday drew the No. 3 post in the Blue Grass, which will serve as his final prep race for the Kentucky Derby. Harlan's Holiday, trained by Ken McPeek and ridden by jockey Edgar Prado, is listed as the 6-5 favorite in Keeneland's morning line odds.

The top challenger to Harlan's Holiday may be 5-2 second-choice Booklet, who defeated Harlan's Holiday in both the Fountain Of Youth and Holy Bull Stakes at Gulfstream before finishing fourth behind his chief rival in the Florida Derby. Booklet, who is expected to be the pace-setter in the Blue Grass, drew the far outside post No. 6 and will be be ridden by Jorge Chavez.

The morning line third-choice at 3-1 odds is Azillion, who comes to Keeneland off of a close second-place finish in Turfway's Spiral Stakes last month. Azillion drew post No. 5 and will be ridden for the first time by Corey Nakatani.
