Happy Ticket best in Elge Rasberry


BOSSIER CITY, La. - Happy Ticket kept her perfect record intact Saturday afternoon, winning the by two and a half lengths.

Catlaan finished second followed by Shes Dixies Eskimo.

Victorious against maiden and allowance company in two previous starts by a combined 22 lengths, Happy Ticket ($2.40) had to work a little harder in her stakes debut. The daughter of Anet set early fractions of :23.12 and :46.47 under Lonnie Meche while a persistent Shes Dixies Eskimo kept the pressure on. Following a three quarter split of 1:10.47, the winner held a daylight advantage past the furlong marker en route to a clocking of 1:24.09 for the seven furlongs. She is trained by Andy Leggio for owner Stewart Madison and has now earned just under $63,000.
