Royal Delta, almost certain to be named champion older female on Saturday, breezed a half-mile in 49.20 in her second work since winning the BC Ladies’ Classic.

HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. - Royal Delta and Ron the Greek topped Sunday’s work tab at Payson Park. Royal Delta breezed a half-mile in 49.20 in her second work since winning the BC Ladies’ Classic. Like Trinniberg and Shanghai Bobby, she is expected to pick up a trophy at Saturday’s awards dinner as champion older female of 2012.

Ron the Greek worked four furlongs in 49.10. A multiple Grade 1 winner, he is expected to have a rematch with Mucho Macho Man in Saturday’s Sunshine Millions Classic. Ron the Greek finished fourth in the Breeders’ Cup Classic, with Mucho Macho Man second.

No Mark, "Ebbie" would have no shot at Royal Delta at this point in her carreer. But hang in there you'll figure it out, sooner or later.
