HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. - Trainer Todd Pletcher said Graydar came out of his victory in Saturday’s Grade 1 Donn Handicap in good order, but has nothing picked out at the moment for his next start.
“We’ll kind of let the dust settle before we decide what to do next,” Pletcher said. “I’d hate to run anywhere but Gulfstream with him, but there’s not anything super-attractive for him here.”
Pletcher said he would likely not bring Graydar back at a mile for the Grade 2 Gulfstream Park Handicap on March 9. Graydar did come within .01 of a second of equaling Commentator’s one-mile track record winning an allowance race earlier in the meet.
“He ran a great mile here, but I don’t think I want to turn back to a mile now to run against Fort Larned,” Pletcher said.
Bring Graydar to Santa Anita for the Big Cap to face Game on Dude.

i know the connections will lean toward the new orleans handicap. but, i think it would be wiser to go in the oaklawn handicap. there will be better weight assignment and a better chance of a speed bias. 2 month layoffs would be a good idea for this horse. the met mile should fit his style.

Fort Loudon won his seven furlong sprint over this last weekend. Fort Loudon is a sprinter. Fort Larned is the #1 rated router horse in the country. He has been a great horse!

we will see if this horse graydar will become a great horse, smply put the horses that we have running are sub-par at best.last year the europeans did not send their best here because they know that we do not have quality horses here but had one who horse that would sent thr europeans packing of course am talking about wise dan who to me is best all around horse in any track 7 taking all comers, did they bring frankel ? of course not.folks fellow bettors we have not had a horse anywere like the great secreterait.they retired the horses to early here,& sad thing about i don't anybody winning the triple crown this year.

He would crush Game On Dude in the S.A. Handicap

Is this an editing mistake? I assume that Pletcher actually said "Fort Loudon" in reference to running in the G.P. 'Cap....

He needs to prove he ran do this away from Gulfstream. Gulfstream is pletchers playground where he can do what he wants, anything goes.

Nice horse but he didn't beat much.

MONCLOVA galloped out strongly after closing belatedly in her second trip postward May 26, from which the runner-up exited to graduate with a 68 Beyer. The daughter of Queen's Plate winner Niigon is bred to run long, and can break through with the stretchout from six and a half furlongs to a mile and a sixteenth. BE MIND PHIL is returning on short rest off a closing second in her debut, going a mile around one turn on the grass. She has a blend of speed and stamina in her pedigree.
