Teaks North won the Sunshine Millions Turf in her first start for trainer Michelle Nevin.

Michelle Nevin, who took over the stable operated by trainer Richard Dutrow Jr. when he began serving a 10-year suspension earlier this year, will take 27 head to New York. She will be stabled at Belmont Park.

Nevin won with her first starter, Teaks North, in the Sunshine Millions Turf here Jan. 19. She went 3 for 29 at the meet.

Teaks North finished second in the Mac Diarmida and last weekend ran sixth in the Pan American behind world-record setting Twilight Eclipse.

“We’re going to back off him for a little while,” Nevin said. “He tried to go a mile and a half on the lead and went a little too quick. We didn’t get the setup we were looking for.”

Nevin said Fantasy of Flight, second in the Grade 3 Hurricane Bertie on Feb. 10, would be shipped to Keeneland to run in the Grade 1 Madison Stakes on April 11.
