Great Lakes track report

MUSKEGON, Mich. - Great Lakes Downs has a pair of $45,000 stakes for 2-year-olds this week, the Temptress Stakes for the fillies on Friday and The Little Ones Stakes for colts and geldings on Saturday. They are Great Lakes's first stakes races of the year for 2-year-olds

Living Fully ships in from Ellis Park and should be favored in the Temptress. A Wolf Power filly, Living Fully is owned by Ro Parra and is trained by James Jackson. She won her maiden at first asking here in June before running a close second in an allowance race at Ellis. Jason Eads will be in to ride Living Fully.

The Temptress attracted a full field of 10, including a stable coupling. Leading trainer Gerry Bennett will saddle Zosia's Genius, a daughter of the Bennett-trained star Beau Genius. Zosia's Genius is the cream of the Bennett's 2-year-old fillies. Joe Judice will ride Zosia's Genius.

* Freddie Mata sits atop the riders' standings with 107 wins, leading Joe Judice by five wins. Mata had a four-bagger on Monday's card to go with a triple last Friday.
