MUSKEGON, Mich. - Jockey Terry Houghton won four races here Tuesday and has moved past Ramon Dominguez for the second spot in the national rider standings. Through Tuesday, Houghton had won 223 races this year and Dominguez 217. Russell Baze led all jockeys in wins with 233. Houghton also had a hat trick on Friday and Saturday.

* Monday was Mary Doser's evening. The 1999 Great Lakes Downs riding champion, Doser won four races on the card, including rides aboard Lights Life and Meadow Made, who are both trained by Dave Kueffner. Doser opened the program by winning the daily double, aboard Alma Dancer and Devilish Gift.

* Rafael Estrella, returning from overseas, won aboard Surrogate's Irish in the Sunday nightcap, his first mount at the meet. Estrella, 37, a native of the Dominican Republic, rode in Saudi Arabia after the 2001 meet here.

"We race on Fridays only over there," Estrella said. "Other than that, we played a lot of golf. Golf doesn't shut down during the day like the other businesses do. We golfed all the time."

* Queen at Heart took an unusual route to a victory in the MTOBA Stakes here Saturday. Queen at Heart was claimed from her breeder, Farid Sefa, at Beulah Park in April. Owner Jimmy Ray Adkins and trainer Joe Davis took her to Arlington Park, where she won but was claimed by trainer Jerry Gryczewski.

Adkins and Davis claimed her back July 14, then had to get permission from Arlington to run her in the MTOBA, as she was still in "jail" at the time of race.
