MUSKEGON, Mich. - Equi Power will face six colts and geldings in the $50,000-added Michigan Futurity Friday on evening at Great Lakes Downs. The mile and 70-yard fixture is the seventh race on a card that begins at 6:30 p.m. Eastern.

Equi Power, owned by Redbob Farm Inc. and trained by Pedro Martinez, is the lone winner among the seven entrants. He was second in the Patrick Wood Stakes before wining his maiden race by nearly four lengths Sept. 29. Regular rider Luis Martinez will be aboard Equi Power, the 8-5 morning line favorite, who will break from post 4 and carry 122 pounds, as will all the starters.

Facing Equi Power, from the rail out, are Northern Swamp Cat, Luis Martinez, Jr. in the irons; To Be Springs, Al Jawny; Match Break, Freddie Mata; Final Reel, Felipe Santos; Iron Jhon, Roberto Perez; and Big Fish Marlin, Terry Houghton. Match Break and Iron Jhon will be coupled in the wagering.
