Great Lakes: Charedi's Peak favored

Charedi's Peak, undefeated at Great Lakes Downs in three starts, looks for her third stakes win when she faces nine 3-year-old fillies in the $50,000 Plymouth Stakes at seven furlongs.

On June 10, Charedi's Peak led all the way to win the first stakes of the season, the $50,000 Regret Stakes, by 2 1/2 lengths. That race included four of her Plymouth rivals. Charedi's Peak, the 5-2 morning-line choice in the Plymouth, is trained by Ronnie Allen. Mike Allen will ride.

Trainer James Jackson has an uncoupled pair entered. Summer Cyclone, owned by Valerie Irvine, has been keeping company with older fillies and mares, winning an allowance race on June 12. Fiji Island, owned by Millennium Farms, was a double stakes winner here as a juvenile. She finished fifth, beaten just four lengths, after being bumped at the start of the Regret Stakes.

Rockin Research is looking for her fourth win in a row. She stepped up from $8,000 claiming to an allowance win in her last start here.
