Grade 1 winner and popular New York-bred Haynesfield has sired his first reported foal

Grade 1 winner Haynesfield has been represented by his first reported foal, a filly out of the stakes-winning Friends Lake mare Soundwave.

Out of the stakes-placed Eastern Echo mare Echo Echo Echo, Soundwave is a half-sister to six winners, including Grade 2 winner Letgomyecho and stakes placed Balaagha and Northern Iowa.

Haynesfield, a 7-year-old Speightstown horse, won the Grade 1 Jockey Club Gold Cup Stakes in 2010, defeating eventual Breeders' Cup Classic winner Blame. His other graded stakes victories came in the Grade 2 Suburban Handicap in 2010 and the Grade 3 Discovery Handicap in 2009; he also finished second, beaten a head, in the Grade 1 Cigar Mile Handicap in 2010.

Overall, Haynesfield won 10 of 19 career starts—and eight stakes—for earnings of $1,319,481. He was named the New York-bred Horse of the Year in 2009 and 2010.

Out of the stakes-winning Tejabo mare Nothing Special, Haynesfield stands at Brereton Jones' Airdrie Stud in Midway, Ky. for a fee of $10,000 in 2013.
