Gonzalez fillies 1-2 in Ontario Debutante

Stillistillmovin and My List, both owned by Tucci Stable and trained by Nick Gonzalez, ran one-two in Saturday's $125,800 Ontario Debutante Stakes at Woodbine.

Stillistillmovin dueled up front with favored Lottacosta through a quick opening quarter-mile of 21.71 seconds. She began to draw away from that rival at the eighth pole and coasted home to a 2 1/4-length win.

My List, a maiden, closed from seventh and last to finish two lengths clear of Lottacosta, who held third despite bobbling in deep stretch.

Now unbeaten in two starts, Stillistillmovin ($11.10) covered the five furlongs in 58.27 seconds under jockey David Clark, who won the Debutante for the fifth time. She earned $75,000 in her stakes debut to improve her earnings to $94,900.

* Roving Angel ($11.90) led throughout Saturday's supporting feature, the $100,000 Belle Mahone Stakes for fillies and mares.

Roving Angel set slow fractions under Justin Stein in the 1 1/16-mile event, then kicked clear in the stretch for a 5 1/2-length victory over Coastal Fortress.

Whispertoascream was another neck back in third, and favored Miss Concerto finished fourth in the five-horse field. The final time was 1:44.43.

Stein said he was somewhat surprised to have the lead to himself.

"She made the lead easy enough on her own, and then I slowed it down enough to give her a breather," he said.

Roving Angel, trained by Bobby Pion, banked $60,000 for owners Keith and Rachel McClelland.
