Golden Pick 6 carryover of $749,871 for Friday’s card

Email

The Golden Pick 6 wager at Golden Gate Fields has a carryover of $749,871 for Friday’s card after 35-1 shot Recolte de Roi, the longest shot in the field, finished seventh in Thursday’s final race.

Recolte de Roi was the only horse in the final leg who would have produced a single winning ticket with all six race winners, resulting in a jackpot payout of $808,202.88.

The odds-on Comanche Ruler won the final race, but longshots Elegant Sky ($24.80), Kiss In Spades ($16), and Sandy’s Journey ($23.20) took the first three races.

Friday’s Golden Pick 6 sequence begins with the second race.

A very poor bet mathematically speaking, giant take out if you assume you won't be the only ticket, (good assumption). However the big players don't get involved very often so you are betting against less sophisticated players generally speaking. You need non favored singles to play but for a small investment you can hit for a nice score if you play VERY specific days. Good Luck to all!

What don't you understand about it being a Jackpot and not a carryover?  This is totally misleading and has to stop.  Lately GG has had short fields and that makes it almost impossible to be one unique ticket.

Probably one of the smartest things GG ever did! (For them) not the player as it is mathematically a horrible bet, but because most of the really good players don't get involved you are betting against less sophisticated players, you need non favored singles to play, that is for sure. Tough with short fields but not impossible!
