Giwner: New features for DRF Harness

Email

Welcome to the new world of Harness Racing on DRF.

When Daily Racing Form launched DRF Harness back in January of 2012, I promised we would continue to innovate. Over the last three years we’ve added full-card analysis from several tracks, increased our coverage of featured races, offered live video for the top races in North America, and increased our offerings of past performances to include Trackmaster products.

We are now introducing a completely redesigned home page and new features to bring you the best in harness racing. Beyond the new sleek new look, which is already in place, we are excited to announce DRF Harness Live to help guide you through each Saturday night of racing and handicapping. Let’s take a look at what you can expect during our “opening weekend”.

DRF Live—Each Saturday our handicappers will be providing LIVE insights on the races from select tracks. This can include: track trends; warm-up notes; odds patterns; playable tickets; immediate results and commentary on major races. We kick this off Saturday (June 20) with Mohawk, Meadowlands, Yonkers and Balmoral. Join Matt Rose, Jay Bergman, Garnet Barnsdale, Jeremey Day, and me each Saturday for up-to-the minute analysis, advice, and news on the day’s racing.

New-Look Homepage—This is my favorite part of the enhancements. All of the Harness content you want will now be right at your fingertips. Pick your favorite tracks in the drop-down menu and you’ll have the content filtered to display what YOU want to see. Plus you will be able to access all of your favorite DRF Harness and Trackmaster Past Performances with one click from the harness homepage.

Mobile—When visiting DRF.com/harness from your mobile device, you will enjoy the same great harness content as on a PC. Best of all, it is optimized for your mobile display.

In addition to all of the above enhancements and additions, within the next week we will also offer all of these brand new features:

Entries—Looking to see who is racing and when? There is no need to leave DRF.com/harness. Just click on your favorite track and view full-card entries for upcoming days.

Live Odds—Click on any track racing that day and we’ll provide up-to-date odds, post time, will pays and exotic probables for harness tracks across North America.

Digital Harness Eye—Our best past performances for the top tracks, full-card analysis, Meadowlands charts, feature stories, Horses to Watch, and more are now available in one web-friendly format! You won’t have to travel to your local newsstand or worry that you are in a remote location. You’ll get three to eight tracks per day at one low price.

All these enhancements are designed to help our readers enjoy the sport and improve their game as we become the one-stop place for everything Harness Racing. You can expect to see more innovations in the near future, including DRF Bets offers designed for harness players. Stay tuned!
