Over a Tapeta surface that favored outside closers, Ghostly Presence rated kindly toward the rear of the field while wide in the seven-furlong sprint. The Jammed Lovely was her first stakes triumph since the Princess Elizabeth last November, and she earned $75,000 for Chiefswood Stable. “She was never doing well,” said trainer Roger Attfield. “She didn’t look well. She was too light. Her color was bad. She wasn’t training very well, but she was healthy. We just had to be patient with her, and she suddenly turned the corner, and she’s been good from the middle of summer on. I loved her going into this race today.”
