LEXINGTON, Ky. - Three-time Grade 1 winner and millionaire Get Stormy will start his stud career in 2013 at Crestwood Farm here, the farm announced Friday.

A 6-year-old Stormy Atlantic horse, Get Stormy will stand for $5,000, stands and nurses, and will participate in Crestwood's "Share the Upside" incentive program.

Mary Sullivan's popular homebred retired last month after winning 11 races, nine of them stakes, from 31 lifetime starts. He also finished second five times and was third four times. His biggest victories came in the 2011 Woodford Reserve Turf Classic and Maker's Mark Mile Stakes and in this year's Gulfstream Park Turf Handicap, all Grade 1 and all of which he won in front-running style. He also was runner-up in last season's Shadwell Turf Mile Stakes, a half-length behind Gio Ponti.

Trained by Tom Bush, Get Stormy last ran third in Wise Dan's Fourstardave Handicap, a Grade 2 event at Saratoga; he won that race in 2010.

Get Stormy is out of the Kiri's Clown mare Foolish Gal and was his dam's first stakes winner.
