Grade 1 winner Get Stormy has his first two mares in foal, Crestwood Farm announced.

Crestwood Farm announced on Wednesday that the first two mares have been pronounced in foal to multiple Grade 1 winner Get Stormy, who is standing his first season at Pope McLean's Lexington, Ky., farm.

The two mares scanned in foal are Collyns L, a resident of Brandywine Farm; and Wishforemore, who resides at Waterford-Millford Farm.

Collyns L, a winning Thunder Gulch mare, is a half-sister to stakes-placed Snake Attack. The 5-year-old mare is out of the unraced Belong to Me daughter Yquem and is from the family of Grade 2 winner Blush and Grade 3 winner Blue Baron.

Wishforemore, a 10-year-old Mt. Livermore mare out of the winning With Approval mare Whispered Wishes, is a half-sister to stakes winner Quiet Action, stakes-placed Tall Cool One, and stakes producer Starlight Wishes. Wishforemore's first foal by Songandaprayer is a 2-year-old of 2013.

Get Stormy, a 7-year-old Stormy Atlantic horse, won 11 of 31 starts and earned $1,606,812 over five seasons of racing. In 2011, he won the Grade 1 Maker's Mark Mile Stakes at Keeneland and the Grade 1 Woodford Reserve Turf Classic Stakes at Churchill Downs; the following season, he added another top-level triumph in the Grade 1 Gulfstream Park Turf Handicap. He won four other graded stakes events and placed in an additional six.

Get Stormy stands at Crestwood for a fee of $5,000 when the foal stands and nurses.

This guy is going to be dynamite in the breeding shed. He is a specimen and if he passes along his good looks and disposition, his get will be hot sellers in the ring.
