Galactic Princess makes it two in a row with Debutante triumph

Galactic Princess wins the Arapahoe Park Debutante on Saturday.

Galactic Princess remained undefeated in two starts Saturday when she rolled to a three-length win over Emma’s Dilemma in the $55,000 Arapahoe Park Debutante. It was another three-quarters of a length back to McKenzie Honey in third.

The Arapahoe Debutante was a 5 1/2-furlong race for 2-year-old fillies.

Galactic Princess ($4.40) entered off a length and a quarter debut win in a maiden special-weight July 4 at Arapahoe. She stalked the pace and went on to a clear victory, covering the distance on a track rated fast in 1:05. Russell Vicchrilli was aboard for trainer Ty Garrett.

Galactic Princess is a daughter of Ready’s Image and she races for Hilltop Stable and Eleanor Martin.

On the same card, Way Out West ($3.60) won his second consecutive stakes race at the meet when he darted to a 2 1/2-length win over Bronc D C in the $54,579 Silver Cup Futurity. The 5 1/2-furlong race was restricted to 2-year-olds who were graduates of a designated yearling sale in Colorado.

Way Out West covered the distance on a track rated fast in 1:05.76. Tracy Hebert was aboard for trainer Tyrone Gleason.

Way Out West, who won the $46,000 Colorado Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association Futurity at Arapahoe on July 10, is a son of Fusaichi Pegasus. He races for Kent Bamford and Randy Patterson.
