Fuse It pushed the pace early and drew clear by three and a half lengths in the stretch to win Saturday night's $40,000 Zydeco at Delta Downs in Vinton, La.

Miss Smart Strike finished second, while Light Fling, the pacesetter who held third, was disqualified for interference with eventual fourth-place finisher Ice Forest at the start and placed fourth. Ice Forest was then moved up to third place in the Zydeco.

Fuse It ($3.60) raced closer to the pace than usual upon her return from a layoff, and went on to cover five furlongs over a muddy track in 59.51 seconds. Guy Smith rode the winner for Rowell Enterprises and trainer Sam Breaux.

The win was the seventh stakes victory for Fuse It, a 6-year-old daughter of Lite the Fuse. She has now won 11 of 41 starts and $489,080.
