2-5 favorite Every Way Out was victorious in the $50,000 New Jersey Sire Stakes/Standardbred Development Fund final for sophomore pacing colts on Saturday afternoon at Freehold Raceway in 1:54 2/5. A field of five lined up for the event, and when Firefox Hanover (Steve Smith) broke in the third position in the first turn and interfered with Deo Galileo (Vinny Ginsburg) and Notenough For Me (Joe Hanney), only Every Way Out (Victor Kirby) and Sir Pugsley (Jim Marshall III) were left with a chance to win. Every Way Out would front Sir Pugsley through panels of 27, 56 3/5, and 1:25 2/5, and then got away from his pocket pursuer in the final quarter, going on to win by 3 1/4 lengths.  Sir Pugsley was second, followed by Deo Galileo and Notenough For Me.
