Frazier gets win 3,000 on DQ

EmailJockey Ricky Frazier notched career victory number 3,000 when his mount, Miller's Turbo, was awarded the win after a stewards' inquiry in Saturday's $45,000 Paradise Valley Stakes at Turf Paradise.

Frazier, 43, put the Southern California invader right on the lead for trainer Doug O'Neill. Miller's Turbo battled to the wire only to fall short by a neck to heavily favored Song of Pirates in the 7 1/2-furlong turf event. Song of Pirates, however, under Seth Martinez, ducked in during the final stages and bumped hard with Miller's Turbo, so the stewards reversed the order of finish.

"I hate to get my milestone win that way," said Frazier, "but I'll take a stakes victory any which way."
