William Fox returned to competition as a jockey on Monday after 10 years in retirement and won the sixth race at River Downs in Cincinnati aboard Dues for the Blues.

Fox, 40, whose sister Tammy rides in Kentucky, rallied from sixth place in the claiming race and circled the field to score by a half-length. Fox has been involved in the restaurant business and runs a Gumbo A Go-Go! restaurant in Louisville.

Fox rode Dues for the Blues for trainer Donald Winfree. Fox's biggest victory was aboard Forty Niner in the $500,000 NYRA Mile in 1988.
