Forster saddles two in Kent

AUBURN, Wash. - Youcan'ttakeme carries high weight of

121 pounds when she takes on eight rivals in Saturday's $40,000 Kent Handicap for 3-year-old fillies at 1 1/16 miles at Emerald Downs.

Youcan'ttakeme, a homebred daughter of He's Tops who races for Herman Sarkowsky, is coming off runaway wins in the 6 1/2-furlong Federal Way Handicap in May and the one-mile Son of Briartic Stakes on June 1. She missed a scheduled engagement in the June 29 Irish Day Handicap with a minor injury and comes into Saturday's stakes off a layoff of nearly two months.

"She has been training great, so I'm optimistic that she is ready to go 1 1/16 miles," trainer Grant Forster said. "We'll find out for sure on Saturday."

Youcan'ttakeme faces formidable challenges from several rivals, including one from her own barn. Forster will also saddle northern California stakes winner Mavoreen, who was purchased privately by Dave Mowat's Ten Broeck Farm Inc. earlier this month.

Other contenders include Brave Miss, who won the Irish Day Handicap in Youcan'ttakeme's absence, and Hastings Park stakes winner Aquita, who will be making her local debut for trainer Robbie Anderson.

Making her much anticipated stakes debut on Saturday is Cascade Corona, who is undefeated after two starts. Cascade Corona, a daughter of Pine Bluff from the barn of Jim Penney, won her only start last year by more than eight lengths over maiden special weight company. In her 3-year-old bow on June 28, she drubbed allowance company by more than six lengths in 1:15.40 for 6 1/2 furlongs.
