Fonner: Two coming off wins

My Secret Star and The Bunster, each a winner of his initial start at Fonner Park this season, headline a field of five entered for the $10,000-added Bachman Stakes for 3-year-olds going a half-mile.

My Secret Star, trained by Milt Gaede, comes off a three-quarter-length win on opening day against entry-level allowance competition. He was twice a runner-up in stakes action last year and should primed for a good effort. Beth Butler will ride.

The Bunster, one of three of fillies in the field, returns to action off a second-level allowance win here a week ago. Trained by Jason Wise, The Bunster will have Dennis Collins aboard in search of her fourth win.

Favorite Rookie, trained by Ron Westermann, will make his first start of the year and is the only stakes winner in the field. He won his maiden in the Columbus Futurity last year and followed up with an open allowance win at Atokad Downs to close out his three-race campaign. Tanner Riggs will ride.
