Flying Zee Stable bloodstock will be dispersed at Fasig-Tipton Kentucky fall sale

Email

The late Carl Lizza’s estate will begin dispersing most of Lizza’s Flying Zee Stable bloodstock at Fasig-Tipton’s Kentucky fall yearling sale on Oct. 26.

Phase 1 horses, consisting of 40 New York-bred yearlings, will sell that day as an addendum to the final session of the three-day auction in Lexington, Ky. The catalog addendum for these horses already is available online at www.fasigtipton.com and hard copies will be available in all Fasig-Tipton offices starting Oct. 11. The group includes horses by Giant’s Causeway, Bernardini, Tapit, Lemon Drop Kid, Harlan’s Holiday, Speightstown, and Holy Bull, as well as several by New York stallion Western Expression, sire of stakes winners I Lost My Choo and Stunt Man.

The vast majority of the Lizza estate’s remaining bloodstock will sell at other Fasig-Tipton auctions this fall and winter.

The Hidden Brook agency will serve as consigning agent for the Lizza dispersal.

Flying Zee Stable’s runners this year have included graded winners Street Game and Pure Gossip and Saratoga stakes winner Harbor Mist. The stable ranks among the top 20 North American owners based on earnings this year.

Phase II of the dispersal will include weanlings, broodmares, and racing-age horses who will go through the ring at Fasig-Tipton’s Midlantic December mixed sale in Timonium, Md., on Dec. 5.
