Flashy Bull to Penn Ridge Farms

Grade 1 winner Flashy Bull will relocate to Penn Ridge Farms in Harrisburg, Pa., for the 2014 breeding season, where he will stand for an advertised fee of $4,500.

The 10-year-old son of Holy Bull previously stood at Airdrie Stud in Midway, Ky., where his most recent fee was $10,000. Airdrie Stud will continue to work in partnership with Penn Ridge Farms regarding the stallion.

Flashy Bull has sired three crops of racing age, led by Grade 3 winner Flashy Lassie, multiple graded stakes-placed Flashy Gray and multiple stakes winners Flashy American, Balooga Bull, and Flashy Dresser.

Flashy Bull won five of 19 starts during his racing career for earnings of $844,313. His biggest win came in the 2007 Stephen Foster Handicap, a Grade 1 race, and he also tallied a win in the Grade 2 William Donald Schaefer Handicap that year. He also registered in-the-money finishes in the Grade 2 Fountain of Youth Stakes, Remsen Stakes, and Ohio Derby.

Bred in Kentucky by Jerry Squyres and Liz Squyres, Flashy Bull is out of the winning Mt. Livermore mare Iridescence, whose four winners from six foals to race also includes multiple stakes winner Pink Viper.
