Five register fastest time at OBS winter mixed breeze show

A quintet of entries turned in the fastest time for three furlongs during the horses of racing age under-tack show prior to the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Co. winter mixed sale, stopping the clock in :33 2/5 seconds.

The following five horses shared the fastest time over the Ocala Training Center’s all-weather Safetrack surface.

► Miss Marianne, a 3-year-old Munnings filly out of the winning Dynaformer mare Marianne’s Dream. The unraced filly is from the family of multiple English Group 1 winner Mutafaweq and is consigned by Wes Carter.

► Euro Exchange, a 3-year-old Exchange Rate colt out of the unplaced Rahy mare Merciful. Cutting Edge Equine, agent, consigns the unraced colt, whose family includes champion Impressive and Grade 1 winner Game Face.

► Smokin Special, a 5-year-old Kela mare out of the stakes-placed Special Lineage mare One for Smoke. Hendry Training Stables consigns the winning mare as agent, who is a half sister to a stakes producer and the dam of a stakes producer.

► Success at Sunup, a 3-year-old Successful Appeal filly out of the stakes-placed Smart Strike mare Sunup, also consigned by Wes Carter. Unplaced in one start, the filly is a half sister to stakes winners You Need Me and Mollys Missb’havin.

► Carter also consigns All Day Alice, a 3-year-old Posse filly out of the stakes-placed Hay Halo mare Hay Allison. The unraced filly is a sibling to two winners from as many foals to race.

The OBS winter mixed sale begins Wednesday, Jan. 28 with a consignor-preferred session, followed on Thursday, Jan. 29 with an open session, followed immediately by the horses of racing age session. Both days of selling begin at 10:30 a.m. Eastern.
