Triple Crown winner American Pharoah's first foal is a colt born Jan. 3 in Kentucky.

A highly-accomplished group of first-crop stallions went to stud in 2016, counting among them victories in the Triple Crown, three editions of the Belmont Stakes, six Breeders' Cup races, and several international classics. The DRF Breeding staff is now reporting on first foals by notable stallions as they arrive. A compilation linking to all these reports, alphabetized by stallion name, is below. American Pharoah: The first Triple Crown winner in 37 years, he attracted a star-studded first book at Coolmore's Ashford Stud in Kentucky. The first resulting foal was a colt out of the mare Kakadu, born Jan. 3 at Brookdale Farm in Kentucky.

Bahamian Squall: The Grade 2 winner, standing in Florida, was represented by his first colt in that state.

Bayern: The 2014 Breeders' Cup Classic winner sired a filly born in Ontario. Hill 'n' Dale Farm stands Bayern.

Carpe Diem: WinStar Farm's dual Grade 1 winner sired a colt born New Year's Day in Ocala, Fla.

Commissioner: WinStar Farm's classic-placed son of A.P. Indy was represented by a filly born Jan. 5 in Kentucky.

Competitive Edge: The Grade 1-winning juvenile, standing at Ashford Stud, sired a colt born Jan. 11.

Constitution: The multiple Grade 1-winning son of Tapit sired a filly born at Crestwood Farm in Lexington on Jan. 9. Constitution stands at WinStar Farm.

Danza: The classic-placed Grade 1 winner's first foal was bred by Toby Keith.

Daredevil: The Grade 1-winning juvenile, standing at WinStar Farm, sired a filly born Jan. 10 in New York.

Fast Anna: The Grade 1-placed sprinter stands at Three Chimneys.

Golden Horn: The 2015 Cartier European Horse of the Year, standing at Darley's Dalham Hall Stud in Newmarket, was represented by a colt born Jan. 9 in England.

Honor Code: The champion older male of 2015 was represented by a filly born Jan. 9 at Cobra Farm in Kentucky. Honor Code stands at Lane's End, in the stall next to his pensioned sire, the great A.P. Indy.

Medal Count: Spendthrift Farm's classic-placed son of Dynaformer sired a filly born Jan. 10 at Mallory Farm.

Mr. Speaker: The Grade 1 winner, standing at Lane's End, sired a filly born Jan. 14 at Rose Hill Farm.

Palace Malice: The first foal by the 2013 Belmont Stakes winner, who stands at Three Chimneys, is a filly out of graded stakes winner Ekati's Phaeton.

Race Day: The multiple Grade 2 winner, standing at Spendthrift Farm, was represented by his first foal in Indiana.

Sky Kingdom: The young Darby Dan stallion's first foal was born in Kentucky.

Tapiture: The young Darby Dan Farm stallion, a multiple graded stakes-winning millionaire, sired a filly born Jan. 11 in Lexington.

The Big Beast: The Grade 1-winning sprinter sired his first foal in Florida.

Tonalist: Lane's End announced the arrival of a filly by the 2014 Belmont Stakes winner.

Wicked Strong: The Grade 1-winning Spendthrift Farm stallion sired a colt born on New Year's Day in Kentucky.
