First foal by Causeway's Kin arrives in Florida

The well-bred stakes winner Causeway's Kin was represented by his first foal on Jan. 30, a filly born at Stonewall Farm Ocala in Ocala, Fla.

The filly is out of the unraced Victory Gallop mare Bold Maiden. Their dam, the stakes-placed Spirited Maiden, is a half-sister to Group 3 winner Eishin Lombard. It is the family of multiple graded stakes winner Salty Strike.

Causeway's Kin won three of 12 career starts for earnings of $123,387. He won the 2010 Band Is Passing Stakes at Calder Race Course and placed in three other stakes that season, including a runner-up effort in the Grade 3 Memorial Day Handicap.

A 7-year-old son of leading sire Giant's Causeway, Causeway's Kin is out of the You and I mare You. The racemare won or placed in 17 graded stakes events over three seasons of racing, including five Grade 1 victories, for earnings of $2,101,353.

You is the dam of three winners from four starters, including Grade 2 winner You and I Forever and Korean champion It's So You.
