Field of 10 for Blue Grass

Peace Rules heads a field of 10 horses that have been entered for Saturday's Grade 1, $750,000 Blue Grass Stakes at Keeneland.

Peace Rules, the Bobby Frankel-trained winner of the Louisiana Derby at Fair Grounds in his last start, drew post 2 and is listed as the 7-5 Blue Grass favorite under jockey Edgar Prado.

The top challengers in the Blue Grass, Badge of Silver and Offlee Wild, each have had their share of problems lately, and both are exiting out of the money finishes in their most recent races. Risen Star Stakes winner Badge of Silver, who missed some training time due to a minor throat operation, drew post 4 in the Blue Grass and is listed as the 2-1 second choice with regular rider Robbie Albarado aboard. Holy Bull Stakes winner Offlee Wild, who missed two weeks of training with a bacterial infection, drew the post 3 and is the third choice in the morning-line at 6-1 with Pat Day to ride.

The loaded 10-horse field also includes San Felipe third-place finisher Brancusi (post 9, 8-1) and Lane's End Stakes beaten favorite Lion Tamer (post 8, 12-1). Southwest Stakes winner and Rebel runner-up Great Notion ships in from Oaklawn Park and is listed at 15-1 on the morning-line after drawing post 6.

The field is completed by Acceptable Venture (post 1, 30-1), Crowned Dancer (post 5, 20-1), Ten Cents a Shine (post 7, 20-1), and Lots Of Sizzle (post 10, 30-1).
