Fasig-Tipton off to solid start

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Led by a $260,000 Unbridled's Song filly, the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic May 2-year-old sale got off to an aggressive start Monday at Timonium, Md.

The $260,000 filly was one of six lots to sell for $100,000 or more as of 5 p.m. Monday. Richard Dutrow bought the session leader, a gray or roan daughter of stakes-placed Rockaroller, by Dixieland Band. The filly was consigned by the Florida-based Hartley-DeRenzo Thoroughbreds agency and is a full sister to the winner Nick Bollettieri. She was one of the fastest workers during the two-day auction's under-tack show, breezing a quarter-mile in 21.80 seconds.

The auction was to continue through Tuesday.
