Fasig-Tipton sale to offer Grade 1 talent

EmailFasig-Tipton Kentucky has set its November mixed auction in Lexington for Nov. 4, the company announced Monday.

The sale will include such young Grade 1-winning fillies and mares as Appealing Zophie, Asi Siempre, Cash Included, Cotton Blossom, Dancing Edie, Dream Rush, Ermine, Maryfield, and Round Pond. Also on offer are Grade 1 winners Leave Me Alone, in foal to A. P. Indy, and Indy Five Hundred, in foal to Kingmambo.

Grade 1 producers Winter's Gone and Appealing Storm, the dams of Grade 1 winners Sharp Lisa and Vacare, respectively, are also in the catalog. Winter's Gone is in foal to Storm Cat, while Appealing Storm is carrying a Bernardini foal.

The catalog has not yet been finalized but sales officials currently expect the book to contain about 175 horses, including about 100 mares and broodmare prospects and about 70 selected weanlings. Catalogs for the auction will be available at Fasig-Tipton offices starting Oct. 10.
