Fasig-Tipton Midlantic: Ten tie for fastest furlong during first breeze show


Ten juveniles completed a one-furlong breeze in 10 1/5 seconds on Wednesday to lead the first of two under-tack shows for the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic 2-year-olds in training sale.

The public workouts were held at the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium, Md., where the two-day sale will be held May 19 and 20, beginning each day at 10 a.m. Eastern.

The following 10 juveniles hit the :10 1/5 mark for an eighth of a mile during Wednesday’s under-tack show:

► A War Front colt out of the unraced Seeking the Gold mare Wildlife Festival, dam of one winner from two foals to race. Consigned by Hartley/de Renzo Thoroughbreds, agent, the colt is from the family of Japanese champion To the Victory, and Grade 1 winners Creme Fraiche, Dream Deal, Clear Mandate and Strong Mandate.

► A Congrats colt out of the winning Smart Strike mare Classic Strike, whose two winners from three foals to race includes Grade 2 winner Handsome Mike. He is from the family of Grade 2 winners Ruby’s Reception and Connie’s Gift, as well as Grade 3 winner Court Hostess. The colt is the property of Breaking Point Farm.

► Everything Lovely, a Pollard’s Vision filly out of the winning During mare Desiderata. Consigned as agent by Eisaman Equine, the filly’s page also includes Grade 2 winner Wicapi.

► A Not For Love colt out of the winning Polish Numbers mare Doolittle, who is the dam of one winner from as many foals to race. Doolittle is a half sister to Grade 1 winner Her Smile. Grassroots Training and Sales consigns the colt as agent.

► A More Than Ready filly out of the Grade 3-placed stakes-winning Montbrook mare Exotic Bloom, whose first and only foal to race is Grade 2 winner Stopchargingmaria. She is consigned by Stephens Thoroughbreds, agent.

► A Bellamy Road colt out of the Grade 2-winning Stephen Got Even mare For All We Know, a producer of three winners from as many foals to race. His second dam is multiple Grade 1 winner Over All, and his extended family also includes Grade 3 winners Repletion and Mighty Caroline. Eisaman Equine consigns him as agent.

► All Day Alice, a Posse filly out of the stakes-placed Hay Halo mare Hay Allison, whose two foals to race are both winners. She sells as property of Wes Carter.

► An Unbridled’s Song filly out of the stakes-winning Flatter mare Indy’s Alexandra. She is from the family of Grade 1 winner Romance is Diane, as well as Grade 2 winners Romanceishope, Badge of Silver and Doinghardtimeagain. The filly is consigned by Eisaman Equine, agent.

► A Cosmonaut colt out of the winning Irgun mare Irgun’s Trial, who is the dam of two winners from four foals to race. Bobby Dodd consigns the colt as agent.

► Bridled Tranz, an Unbridled’s Song colt out of the unplaced Storm Cat mare La Maestranza. His second dam is 1999 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies winner Cash Run, and the colt’s page also includes Saudi Arabian Horse of the Year Step in Time. He is consigned by Wavertree Stables, agent.

A Latent Heat filly registered the day’s fastest time for a quarter mile, covering the distance in 21 3/5 seconds. The filly is out of the unplaced Stormin Fever mare Hidden Fever, whose only runner is stakes-placed Stormin Wendy. Marshall W. Silverman consigns the filly as agent.

The pre-sale under-tack show will conclude on Thursday, beginning at 8 a.m. Eastern.
