Fantastic Find, a Grade 1 winner and the dam of dual Grade 1 winner Finder's Fee, has died at age 20. The death was confirmed by Claiborne Farm in Paris, Ky.

The mare ruptured a uterine artery and died March 8 at Claiborne after foaling a healthy Dixie Union filly, according to manager Gus Koch. The filly has been placed on a nurse mare.

By Mr. Prospector out of of the Riva Ridge mare Blitey, Fantastic Find won the Grade 1 Hempstead Handicap and the ungraded Finely Stakes at Belmont in 1990. She also placed in three other Grade 1 contests: the 1990 Ballerina, the 1989 Test Stakes, and the 1989 Gazelle Handicap.

As a broodmare, she is best remembered as the dam of Finder's Fee, a Storm Cat daughter who captured the Grade 1 Acorn and Matron Stakes among her four stakes victories.
