Fallon returns with a victory at Tipperary

Kieren Fallon, back in action after serving a six-month suspension imposed by the French stewards for a cocaine positive, made a victorious return at Tipperary on Thursday evening when he rode The Bogberry to win a 7 1/2-furlong conditions race.

Showing no ill effects from his long absence, Fallon guided The Bogberry, the 4-7 favorite, to a neck victory over Rainbow Crossing. The Bogberry, trained by Aidan O'Brien, is a half-brother to Liscanna, the winner of Wednesday's Group 3 Ballyogan Stakes at Leopardstown.

Still facing charges for race-fixing in England, for which his London trial is scheduled to begin on Sept. 24, Fallon continues to be banned from riding in Britain, the United States and Canada.
