Fairplex: Dixie High in time

POMONA, Calif. - Dixie High ($3.60) overcame a tough trip to win the $110,300 Barretts Debutante for 2-year-old fillies Saturday at Fairplex Park and give trainer Adam Kitchingman, 29, his first stakes win. Joe Steiner rode Dixie High, who was blocked through the far turn, found room in the lane, and won by 1 1/4 lengths over Blowing Bartok. A Kentucky-bred daughter of Anet, Dixie High will be considered for the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Filllies.
