Grade 1 winner The Factor will stand the 2018 breeding season at one of the Japan Bloodhorse Breeders Association’s farms on a one-year lease.

The 9-year-old son of War Front entered stud at Lane’s End in Versailles, Ky., in 2013, and has resided there for each of his Northern Hemisphere seasons. He was advertised in 2017 for $25,000.

"The JBBA expressed an interest in standing The Factor on a one-year lease in 2018,” co-owner George Bolton said. “We are excited to offer The Factor’s impressive bloodlines to Japan and we look forward to his return to Lane's End in 2019."

The Factor is also a regular shuttle stallion to Australia, and is currently in the midst of the Southern Hemisphere season at Newgate Farm in Aberdeen, Australia.

The Factor has sired two crops of racing age, with 60 winners and combined progeny earnings of more than $3.6 million. His top runners include Grade 1 winner Noted and Quoted, Grade 3 winner Multiplier, and stakes winner Fact Finding.

Bred in Kentucky by H & W Thoroughbreds, The Factor is out of the winning Miswaki mare Greyciousness, who is the dam of six winners from 10 runners.

On the racetrack, The Factor won six of 13 starts for $922,180, including victories in the Grade 1 Malibu Stakes and Pat O’Brien Stakes, and the Grade 2 Rebel Stakes, San Carlos Stakes, and San Vicente Stakes. He also finished second in the Grade 2 Bing Crosby Stakes and Triple Bend Handicap.
