Explosion hits Irish jump race


Two teenage boys were injured by an explosion at the Farmacaffey point-to-point race meeting in south Armagh, Northern Ireland, on Saturday, it was reported on the Racing Post website. The boys, aged 15 and 16, received shrapnel wounds when a traffic cone exploded. Conor Murphy, a Sinn Fein representative in the Northern Ireland Assembly, laid the blame at the feet of a dissident republican paramilitary group. The boys' injuries were described as non-life-threatening.
