ETOBICOKE, Ontario – Executive Allure, a long-priced maiden ridden by Eurico Rosa Da Silva, led all the way in Saturday’s $150,000 Fanfreluche Stakes at Woodbine.

Executive Allure set wind-aided fractions of 21.91 and 44.59 seconds in the six-furlong dash for 2-year-old fillies. Splashy Gizmo came charging wide from last to finish a neck back in second. Skylander Girl chased in second before weakening to third, and the favored Lapsang was a non-threatening fifth in the six-horse field of Ontario-breds. The final time was 1:10.53.

Regal Conqueror was the morning-line favorite for the race, but trainer Darwin Banach said he scratched her in favor of next Saturday’s $250,000 Princess Elizabeth Stakes. He also trains Executive Allure.

“It was a tough decision to scratch the favorite and go with this filly,” Banach said. “We knew she was a good one. I’m glad she came through.”

Executive Allure ($26.50) earned $90,000 for owner and breeder Bill Sorokolit.

• New York shipper Native Bombshell ($8.80) nosed out Cabo Queen to take Saturday’s overnight stakes, the $102,800 Ruling Angel. With Patrick Husbands up, the Chad Brown-trained Native Bombshell covered 6 1/2 furlongs in 1:15.78 in the race for 3-year-old fillies.
