Exclusive Eagle prevails in Seattle Slew BC ' Cap


AUBURN, Wash. - Exclusive Eagle split rivals to reach the front at mid-stretch and held off the furious late rally of Brother Bobby to post a stunning upset in Sunday's $65,000 Seattle Slew Breeders' Cup Handicap at Emerald Downs.

Exclusive Eagle, a 3-year-old son of Flying With Eagles from the barn of trainer Craig Roberts, prevailed by half a length in 1:42.40 under rider Mick Ruis. He paid $52.40 to win as the second-longest shot on the board and earned $32,000 for owners and breeders Don and Judi Gardiner. It was just the second win from 11 starts for Exclusive Eagle, who has now earned $63,068.
