Etched, a multiple Grade 2 winner, has been exported to South Korea to continue his stud career for the 2018 breeding season. The 13-year-old son of Forestry previously stood at Bonita Farm in Darlington, Md., where he was advertised for $2,000. Stakes winners Chapel of Chimes and My Sistersledge lead his runners. None of his foals have raced in Korea. Etched won seven of 10 starts during his career for earnings of $587,586, with victories in the Grade 2 Meadowlands Cup Stakes and Monmouth Cup Stakes, the Grade 3 Nashua Stakes, and the Formal Gold Stakes. A Kentucky homebred for Sheikh Mohammed al-Maktoum’s Darley operation, Etched is out of Unbridled Elaine, an Unbridled’s Song mare who won the 2001 Breeders’ Cup Distaff at Belmont Park. Unbridled Elaine is the dam of three winners from four runners, including English Group 2 winner Emotionless and Grade 3 winner Out of Bounds. Etched's extended family includes Grade 1 winners Glitter Woman and Political Force, and Grade 2 winner Lead Story.
