The Keeneland Association has cataloged 223 juveniles for its April 19 select 2-year-old sale, closing out the major select juvenile auction season. Two under-tack shows will precede the sale on April 10 and April 17, both at 10:30 a.m. . . . Vague swept to a 5 1/4-length victory in the the UAE 1000 Guineas at Nad Al Sheba on Thursday, a one-mile race for 3-year-old fillies. Ridden by Michael Kinane for trainer Jeremy Noseda, Vague defeated two South African-breds, Imperial Ice and Rock Opera, who ran second and third, in a final time of 1:37.83. . . . The Group 1 Australia Stakes at Moonee Valley on Saturday will go off without the defending champ, Cape of Good Hope, who suffered an unspecified injury in the Lightning Stakes last month. In his absence, two-time Group 1 sprint winner Glamour Puss has the edge over last year's Golden Slipper winner, Stratum.
