New Jersey-based West Point Thoroughbreds, a racing stable and public syndicate headed by Terry Finley, has opened an office in Lexington, Ky., for its new bloodstock and sales division, West Point Bloodstock Services. Jim Cullen, former public relations and marketing director for West Point Thoroughbreds, will serve as president of the bloodstock division. . . . Gemstar-TV Guide Inc., the parent company of Television Games Network, lost $131.5 million in the third quarter of 2001, or 32 cents a share, the company said late Wednesday. The company took a $240.4 million amortization charge in the quarter because of the merger last year between Gemstar and TV Guide. . . . Canterbury Park Inc. had net income of $378,103 in the third quarter of 2001, or 11 cents a share, the track and card-club operator said. Net income of $1.2 million for the first nine months of this year is more than $800,000 over net income during the first nine months of last year.
