The Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's winter mixed auction dates, originally slated for Jan. 16-19, will take place in Ocala, Fla., from Jan. 17-20 with three consignor-preferred sessions and one open session. The change is in response to Keeneland's decision to add a day to its January mixed sale, which now will end Jan. 15. . . . Grade 2 winner Ruler's Court, a son of Doneraile Court and Future Guest, has retired to stud at Vinery's Florida division in Summerfield, Fla. Retired with a record of 3-1-1 from 8 starts and earnings of $235,900, he will stand for a $5,000 fee as the property of Darley. . . . . The Pennsylvania State Horse Racing Commission has approved 2006 race dates for Penn National Race Course on a Wednesday-through-Saturday schedule. The season will be divided into two segments, a Mountainview Thoroughbred Racing Association meet from Jan. 4 through June 30, and a Penn National Turf Club meet from July 1 through Dec. 30. . . . Tony Cissell, former manager of Calumet Farm and Castleton Lyons in Lexington, Ky., has joined WinStar Farm near Lexington as the operation's farm manager.
