Jockey Jose E. Bermudez won his 1,000th race Wednesday when he guided Anamuya ($6.80) to victory in the first race at Suffolk Downs. . . . Dixie Union, one of the leading second-crop sires of 2005, will stand for $40,000 live foal at Lane's End in 2006. Dixie Union has sired nine stakes winners from his first two crops to race and eight stakes winners this year. . . . Pass the Peace, an unraced son of Saint Ballado, will stand his first year at stud next year at Hamton Farm near Montalba, Texas. The 3-year-old Pass the Peace is being syndicated, with his stud fee set at $3,000.
