Etc. . . .

Despite missing almost seven weeks with a broken collarbone, Joe Bravo all but wrapped up an 11th Monmouth Park riding title with a six-win performance Sunday. The day's six victories equaled the Monmouth record held by Walter Blum, Chris Antley, Julie Krone, and Bravo himself, who had done it twice before. . . . Jockey Dennis Collins fell a half-length short of sweeping Saturday's six-race card at Horsemen's Atokad Downs. Collins won with his first four mounts, just missed with the fifth, then won the nightcap. . . . Jockey Manoel R. Cruz won his 1,000th race Saturday when he rode George's Dance to victory in the 13th race at Calder. . . . . Northern Quest, the winner of the Grade 2 Del Mar Handicap in 2000 who was standing stud in Texas, died in a paddock accident Friday at Dormello II Stud, according to the Texas Thoroughbred Association.
