Part interest in Saarland, a Grade 2 winner primarily owned by Jess Jackson, has been sold to a syndicate, and the horse will stand stud at Darby Dan farm in Lexington, Ky., beginning in 2006. Saarland, a 6 year-old son of Unbridled out of Versailles Treaty, had been standing at Hill 'n' Dale Farm. . . . Stella F. Thayer, president of Tampa Bay Downs, was named president of the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame on Thursday by the museum's trustees. Thayer replaces John T. von Stade, who held the post for 16 years and was named chairman of the museum's Board of Trustees.
