Grade 1 winner Midas Eyes, a 5-year-old son of Touch Gold and Bayou Plans, has retired to stud at Mill Ridge Farm in Lexington, Ky. Midas Eyes retires with a 5-4-1 record from 14 starts, including a victory in the Grade 1 Forego in 2004, and earnings of $616,528. . . . Jose Olivares, the six-time leading jockey at Finger Lakes whose career was cut short when he was paralyzed in a 1970 spill there, has been named the 15th member of the Finger Lakes Gaming and Racetrack Hall of Fame. His induction ceremony will take place at the track next Saturday between the fifth and sixth races.
