The Tattersalls July sale in Newmarket, England, held its final session Thursday despite terrorist blasts in London. The three-day auction ended with a record gross of about $11,606,385, a record average price of about $26,866, and a record median of about $16,538 in the fifth consecutive record year for the sale, according to the company's chairman, Edmond Mahony. . . . Ministers Wild Cat, a 5-year-old stakes winner by Deputy Minister, will stand at Tommy Town Thoroughbreds in Santa Ynez, Calif., after retiring at the end of the year. Ministers Wild Cat is a son of 1993 champion 3-year-old filly Hollywood Wildcat and half-brother to Grade 1 winner War Chant and Group 2 winner Ivan Denisovich.
