A tote system failure hit Woodbine at 8:11 p.m. Saturday, causing cancellation of the final eight races of the track's live Standardbred card, as well as the 10th race at Hastings, which conducts wagering on its live racing through Woodbine's computer system. Simulcast wagering on several tracks was also affected until the system was restored to operation shortly after midnight, when wagering resumed with simulcasts from Australia and Hong Kong.
