The Albany (N.Y.) Law School will help Friends of New York Racing with its proposed business model, the two organizations announced Tuesday. The school's duties will include assisting with the drafting of new legislation and surveying horsemen and officials on potential legislative changes. . . . Tim Barden has been promoted to assistant general manager of Hollywood Park. He had been Hollywood's management liaison since 2000. . . . Lord Nelson was named the 2004 horse of the year in British Columbia. Lord Nelson was also named champion older horse for the fourth straight year, as well as champion sprinter.
